The DS-2CD2T52-I5 K17883 camera belonging to the 2nd line of Hikvision cameras offers excellent parameters for affordable price. The compact camera has been equipped with high quality 5 MP (2560 x 1920) CMOS sensor providing perfect video even in low-light conditions. The camera also has intelligent analysis functions such as line crossing and intruder detection in a specific area. In H.264 mode, the user can setup a region of interest (ROI) – the part of the image with increased video transmission parameters.
The user can select H.264, H264+ , or MJPEG video compression. In the case of the H.264+ compression, the data stream is additionally minimized for static scenes, without noticeable loss of image quality, which saves the disk space.
The K17883 camera can be mounted indoors or outdoors. Its housing with high ingress protection rating (IP66) protects the electronics against adverse weather conditions. The built-in powerful IR illuminator has a range of up to 50 m. The sources based on the new light-emitting technology have up to 30% higher efficiency compared with traditional LED arrays. Additionally, they produce LED light in the form of a rectangle in order to fit the camera’s field of view. This further improves the efficiency of the lighting and eliminates the excessive light intensity in the central part of the scene, typical for majority of IR illuminators. Exir illuminators ensure much better luminance uniformity, including the corners of the scene, at the same time reducing light pollution in the surrounding environment.
Ezviz (EasyVision) is a free service which can be activated in Hikvision NVRs and IP cameras. This free service allows less advanced users to easily access to the video from the cameras via the Internet, without forwarding router ports. To enable remote access, the user should only connect the device to the network (which requires a valid IP address and appropriate gateway settings). The next step is the creation of user account at the www.ezvizlife.com website. The account can accommodate devices in a local area network (with activated Ezviz service). The devices will be available from anywhere via the Internet.
